Interesting detail: OSS emulation in 32-bit works fine. It's just going to direct to ALSA that hangs the system.

This just started happening: opening ALSA in 32-bit mode hard locks the
system. This is with 2.6.10, newest everything in 64 and 32-chroot, 32-bit
alsa module isntalled. Anyone else seeing this?
