It was dying just before the UDP-MIB: line, although I tried this
morning just to confirm and it seems to be working now, last Friday I
did a dist-upgrade on it for other reasons and I remember an snmp
package at least I think I remember seeing one.
strange, now it works for me too! i don't think that it was the
new snmpd version for me, because i have had it already and it
was a long time ago updated
(http://packages.qa.debian.org/n/net-snmp.html). the only thing
that i could imagine and that changed since i tried last time was
the kernel, i've upgraded to 2.6.10 .. perhaps there was a change
that had something to do with network interfaces and how the
snmpd accesses them.... happy to see it running ;-)
