If you decide to mirror the archive then the following script using
debmirror should do it.
#!/bin/sh
debmirror --verbose --progress --postcleanup --source $otheropts \
-e http --host debian-amd64.alioth.debian.org \
-r pure64 -d sid -a amd64 \
/usr/local/debmirrors/debian-amd64.alioth.debian.org/pure64
Several important bugs were fixed recently. Please make sure you are
using debmirror version 20040926 or later.
