This is the current lsusb output:
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 002 Device 004: ID 046d:c50b Logitech, Inc. Bus 002 Device 003: ID 15c2:ffdc Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
All I have is my Logitech cordless receiver hooked up to it, and the VFD is hooked straight to the motherboard's USB, not through the back. I wonder if that makes a difference...

You're right, I should've mentionned that I'm running an AMD64 unit, and I just
wanted as much exposure as possible.
Well, running the driver for USB stuff isn't any different on AMD64 than on i386. Anyway: I'm a bit curious: What does lsusb show for the VFD?
