It hangs up and won't respond to the mouse at all. That is why I thought it might work in the chroot.
My apt/sources.list gets packages from pure64, although from 'dpkg -l' I see I also have gcc-3.4-base and gcc-3.3-base installed. I had suspicions about QT, which is why I thought running it in chroot (which has it's own (working) version of qt would work. Then I discovered that skype also doesn't work in chroot, although most programs do work in chroot.
