I stumbled about the exact same issues about one year ago with SiS 7012 (CMedia 9739A) sound chip (also ASRock board). According to the alsa-project mailing list (at that time) this seems to be a hardware restriction. There was no resolution available, recommendation was to install another sound card (e.g. SB).
