64bit does not seem to be a big issues. If there are minor bugs, they are quickly fixed. My Radeon 9600 works fine with the free driver, but it has no 3D acceleration. I heard rumors that X.org is working on something for 6.9. Matrox used to be a good choice, but they went paranoid somewhere around the 400DH. It took me ages to get that card to work, and since then I don't recommend Matrox any more. Thomas
