I filed this bug ages ago: http://oss.sgi.com/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED&field0-0-0=product&type0-0-0=substring&value0-0-0=amd64&field0-0-1=component&type0-0-1=substring&value0-0-1=amd64&field0-0-2=short_desc&type0-0-2=substring&value0-0-2=amd64&field0-0-3=status_whiteboard&type0-0-3=substring&value0-0-3=amd64 Basically the log format is not compatibly between 32bit and 64bit. 1) nobody is looking into bug reports any more at SGI 2) there are bugs If I were to choose again, I would use reiserfs. It has the backing of a major Linux player, and I am sure bugs for AMD64 would be fixed by them. And reiserfs4 looks very promissing, although I would certainly consider it experimental at this stage. Thomas
