Hi! I bought a laptop Fujitsu Amilo A7645, with a AMD Turion64 CPU) and installed Debian AMD64 on it. It is running the kernel 2.6.12.2, which I took directly from kernel.org. Looking at the output of dmesg I have the following message, which is totally obscure to me:

Obviously, in my BIOS there is nothing like "IOMMU"! The most similar
entry is "Shared Memory" which allows me to select between 3 values:
32Mb, 64Mb and 128Mb. The message above appears even if I select 64Mb.
May this be related with the fact that I cannot use DRI with Xorg? (The
laptop has a SiS graphic card---see the output of lspci below)
There is another problem: the PCMCIA does not work. There is no reaction
if I insert a card into it (it works under Windows on the same computer
with the same card). I found the following in /var/log/syslog:
