Anything with the word 'force' when it comes to package management is ALWAYS 100% of the time with no exceptions a very bad thing. It is really that simple. It turns of safety systems that are there for good reasons. Every file on the system belongs to a package, and to exactly one package. force-overwrite makes that no longer true.
