Really i think that the system had a problem with some network cards or some Motherboards, because I try to install debian AMD64 on my new MSI K8N Neo4 that use nvidia nforce 4 chipset and Debian AMD64 didn't detect
I'm running 32 bit Sarge on the same hardware (K8N Neo4) with kernel 2.6.13.1 and everything is supported (including on-board netcard via forcedeth code. If you are interested, I can send you my .config file. I've got vanilla 2.6.13.1 from kernel.org and run
