The formatting on the email you sent is showing up poorley on my client.
Check that it is in correct format and pointing to a amd64 repository. Off
the top of my head is should be something like:
deb ftp://debian.inode.at/debian-amd64/debian/ sid main contrib
and make sure you do an apt-get update

it's called "locales", not "locale", it's just a typo.
