I did a build-deps and and dpkg-buildpackage to make sure that I had all the build depens, but it seems as Ted said and I confirm that I needs the nvidia-glx-dev.
I have built the package and installed with the box updated today. I have run
again the geomview and it crash in the same place :-(

so, Steve I can confirm the bug with a new build.(also I have done apt-get
remove --purge geomview)
