This is the thread about my attempts (and I have the same card as yours). You can add this line: #---cut--- deb http://people.debian.org/~rdonald/nvidia unstable/amd64/ #---cut-- in your "/etc/apt/sources.list" file and you'll get the possibility to download the tarball of the 7676 version, from which you can then make the installable module (as explained in the above thread). Nevertheless, I still have that problem about having to plug a TV cable (although I'm not using the TV-out) because otherwise, the digital output does not send the video signal to the monitor upon X server startup.
