Hello, because I was unable to install the nvidia driver on my sid installation, I have made a clean installation of etch now.
To get access to nvidia driver it was neccessary to add deb http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ unstable main non-free contrib to \etc\apt\sources.list After this, installation of the nvidia driver was very simple by following the tutorial from http://home.comcast.net/~andrex/Debian-nVidia/installation.html apt-get update NVDIST=unstable apt-get install module-assistant nvidia-kernel-common m-a prepare m-a auto-install nvidia apt-get -t $NVDIST install nvidia-glx dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg My hardware configuration is: Athlon64 X2 (4400+), 7800GTX (Asus) graphic card. I am using the 2.6.12 smp kernel Seems to work fine. Thanks for your support Stefan Salewski -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
