Wel, my advice would be to that you're probably beter off waiting a few days for the transition to finish, and then just upgrade.
Otherwise (a quick search on Google found this) : http://linuxmafia.com/faq/Debian/downgrade.html But if you really must re-install kde 3.4.2-x, then the needed files haven't gone from the debian servers yet, so you could get them and re-install them.
