I am using the following lines in my sources.list: deb http://debian.csail.mit.edu/debian-amd64/debian/ stable main contrib deb http://security.debian.org/ stable/updates main (Off-topic aside: http://mirror.tamu.edu/debian-amd64/ the mirror closest to me, seems unavailable.) apt-get update yields: duop:/home/don# apt-get update Hit http://debian.csail.mit.edu stable/main Packages Hit http://debian.csail.mit.edu stable/main Release Hit http://debian.csail.mit.edu stable/contrib Packages Hit http://debian.csail.mit.edu stable/contrib Release Hit http://security.debian.org stable/updates/main Packages Hit http://security.debian.org stable/updates/main Release Reading Package Lists... This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source E: Package emacs has no installation candidate duop:/home/don# Is emacs available on this platform? If so, what am I missing? Thanks, Don -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
