deb http://debian.csail.mit.edu/debian-amd64/debian-amd64 sarge main The /pool/main is not meant for that. That part is handled by the filenames in Packages.gz You might also want: deb http://debian.csail.mit.edu/debian-amd64/debian-amd64 sarge-unsupported main For things that required patches to build, which were not accepted by debian main for various reasons.
