Some additionals: I installed debian etch on the same machine (with AMDs 64X2 4200+) successfully with some preparations: - ensure to have updated your BIOS (was a little bit tricky without floppy disk and without non-windows compliant bootable medium ;-) - enable Uli-RAID-Controller in BIOS if you use SATA even if you dont plan to use RAID, otherwise you dont have access to /dev/sdx - if you dont disabled acpi in BIOS choose "acpi=off noapic" as grub bootparams - use latest alsa release (I used alsa-driver-1.0.11rc3) to enable integrated sound (add snd-hda-intel position_fix=1 to /etc/modules) Arnold -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
