I would expect the 590 chipset to either already work with 2.6.17 / 2.6.18 or so, or if it doesn't it should work very soon. http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=506&num=1 seems to indicate that if nothing else they had no problem downloading source for drivers for linux to get the Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe board working. Asus apparently even included pre built modules for a bunch of distributions of linux on the CD that came with the board.
