2.6.21 Kernel on Inspiron 1501

           Hey everybody,
Has anybody tried booting the 2.6.21 kernel on a Dell 1501 with any special
commands eg acpi off, etc? I cant get it to boot it just hangs Im running
Etch. Thanks.
