Thanks, indeed both the printer and scanner parts of this machine used to work fine in my current system, albeit on a previous install (I had to reinstall everything not long ago). However, I cannot trace back what I did to get it working. For now, I have the printer working fine through CUPS, but don't know what needs to be done to set the scanner up. Does the scanner need to be added to some server (a la CUPS)?
