Hi all, when I start cinelerra, I always get the following message:
----------- void MWindow::init_shm(): Warning: /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax is 0x7ffffff, which is too low. Before running Cinelerra do the following as root: echo "0x7fffffff" > /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax ----------------------- So far so well, but "/proc/sys/kernel/shmmax" is not existent. What is this command for? I guess it allocates more ram. How can I fix it ? And what is the background of this ? Any help is welcome.
