There is NO "bigmem" Kernel for amd64 :-D
with an amd64 Kernel I can address without any problems 64 GByte of
memory from scratch, Which I have installed on one of my bigger Sun
together with 2 Opteron Quad-Core CPU's.
Under SPARC I get 256 GByte or memory :-)
