disk maintenance raid1

Hello:
W#ith my amd64 squeeze box, disk (500GB) check is never carried out as far
as I can see. In contrast, with the wheezy box, a long disk (1000GB) check
is carried out on my home every 30 times it is accessed, as well as on the
other partitions. Both are raid mirror, with grub on both disk. How to deal
with the squeeze box?
