Since apache 2.2.22 release, there have been numerous security issues
discovered and resolved. The change log
(http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/CHANGES_2.2) details the updates. One
key feature introduced in 2.2.26 is "support for ECC keys and ECDH
ciphers" perfect forward security. While new features could also
introduce new bugs, the security fixes listed is sufficient reason to
update this package.
