Rename the package, but use Provides: <oldpackagename> to satisfy the dependencies. However, I'm absolutely not sure how dpkg deals with versioned dependencies that are Provide:ed by differently-named packages, so you'll have to experiment. -- vbi -- TODO: apt-get install signify
