Your dpkg -S output clearly shows that no package owns a "mysql.so" in the directory where apache is searching, which means that if there is a file there (and there most certainly is, or was when you reported this bug), it was placed there by hand. If this is a real apache module, please read /usr/share/doc/apache-dev/README.modules (in the apache-dev package) about how to set up a .info file that the configuration scripts will like.
If this isn't an apache module (say, for instance, it's a PHP extension, and someone confusingly put it in the wrong directory), please remove it from /usr/lib/apache/1.3/
