Package: apache2 Severity: wishlist According to the "Atomic Operations" section in http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/misc/perf-tuning.html , --enable-nonportable-atomics is a useful option to add to improve performance on at least i386 if you assume 486 or higher. Since glibc already makes this assuption, I think this assuption can be safely made.
