Package: apache2-utils Version: 2.2.6-2 Severity: normal File: /usr/bin/htpasswd
Hi, the man page for htpasswd discourages use of -b, because the password is visible on the command line. That's ok. However, how is one supposed to set a htpasswd password from a shell script (like a package postinst) if -b is discouraged? Piping a password to htpasswd does not seem to work either. Please advise and document.
