Hi I use this sound card, SoundBlaster Live Usb External, on an ARM architecture based system (Linksys NSLU2). The playback works fine. But the capture does not work (Microphone input).
There is/was a gcc ARM optimisation bug that stopped ALSA working in ARM kernels with gcc-4.1. Here are two workarounds: http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-bugs/2006-06/msg01179.html I didn't see a patch for gcc yet...
