Arnaud Patard recently submitted the XGI framebuffer driver to the staging tree of the mainline kernel. Now that the driver is upstream (even if only in staging), I added it to the Debian kernel. The driver will be in the next upload, version 2.6.32-16. Just FYI.
I've also ported the graphical Debian installer to ARM based on the OpenRD-Client.
