One other thing I've noticed is udev's persistent network device
numbering - again, easily reset - but I wonder if there is some
"standard" way to get it back to a more "freshly installed" state. For
example, I vaguely recall that there is some deb-mumble-mumble command
to re-do some of the configuration that debian-installer does.
