Thanks to all that replied to my question(s)! My experience is much too small and the responses fairly brief, so I will just wait patiently (I guess) until I actually own a device with that SoC -- and then try a bit harder to understand.
Also, I should probably contact the SoC maker directly and ask them similar questions :)
