just saw there is already a newer version in testing and built a slightly modified lcd+simplefb supporting version based on that one: $ dpkg --status u-boot-sunxi|grep ^Version Version: 2015.10~rc4+dfsg1~karme1-1 unfortunately it didn't fix the problem
