I think this should be fixed in the latest dailies from http://d-i.debian.org/daily-images/armel/daily/kirkwood/netboot/marvell/ or at least my dreamplug (similar SoC) is OK with the one from 2 days ago. This will then propagate to Stretch with the next d-i alpha. Ian.
