I'm talking about the Userland that installs into Android similar to Termux. There used to be a scriptable Debian installer which could be installed from a CD, I guess FAI replaces that. The goal would be standard Debian running on a phone with minimal Android. Getting the display working might be tricky. These mostly use a VNC Android client.
