Hi all, I was just about to install Woocommerce, a very popular plugin for managing webshops, on my Debian 13 box, but Warning: woocommerce: This plugin does not work with your version of WordPress. Minimum WordPress requirement is 6.9.
Package: wordpress Current version in Trixie: 6.8.3+dfsg1-0+deb13u1 Current version in Forky: 6.9.4+dfsg1-1 Requested version: 6.9 at least So, a backport from Forky would help, and given the prevalence of Woocommerce, it should be a strong argument. There are some version dependencies too. I have made a quite clean upgrade path, simply by pinning: Package: * Pin: release n=forky Pin-Priority: 50 Package: wordpress wordpress-l10n php-getid3 libjs-underscore libjs-lodash Pin: release n=forky Pin-Priority: 900 resulting in the following dry-run: # apt --dry-run upgrade Upgrading: libjs-lodash libjs-underscore php-getid3 wordpress wordpress-l10n Summary: Upgrading: 5, Installing: 0, Removing: 0, Not Upgrading: 0 Inst libjs-lodash [4.17.21+dfsg+~cs8.31.198.20210220-9] (4.18.1+dfsg-3 Debian:testing [all]) Inst libjs-underscore [1.13.4~dfsg+~1.11.4-3] (1.13.8~dfsg+~1.13.0-1 Debian:testing [all]) Inst php-getid3 [1.9.23+dfsg-1] (1.9.25+dfsg-1 Debian:testing [all]) Inst wordpress-l10n [6.8.3+dfsg1-0+deb13u1] (6.9.4+dfsg1-1 Debian:testing [all]) [] Inst wordpress [6.8.3+dfsg1-0+deb13u1] (6.9.4+dfsg1-1 Debian:testing [all]) Conf libjs-lodash (4.18.1+dfsg-3 Debian:testing [all]) Conf libjs-underscore (1.13.8~dfsg+~1.13.0-1 Debian:testing [all]) Conf php-getid3 (1.9.25+dfsg-1 Debian:testing [all]) Conf wordpress-l10n (6.9.4+dfsg1-1 Debian:testing [all]) Conf wordpress (6.9.4+dfsg1-1 Debian:testing [all]) But before I commit to do this upgrade, I figured I'd better ask for a backport. Kind regards, Kjetil
