I've been working on a backport of Mesa 25.3.3 for trixie-backports. I’m looking for some feedback or a sponsor to help get this uploaded.
I thought that unless you have special permissions from the backports ftp-masters, you can only backport versions of packages to trixie-backports that are *now* in testing:
paul@toba ~ $ rmadison mesa -s testing mesa | 26.0.8-1 | testing | source
I noticed that the discussion in bug #1132617 has been leaning towards the 26.0.x series, but I thought 25.3.3 might be a safer, lower-risk intermediate step.
As far as I know, this is typically not allowed [1]: Backports tracks testing and only package versions included in testing are allowed in it
