Hi,
You will probably want to wait a little while to use mpd until the next
version of MPI-CH
due to be released in a few weeks. I was told by Emil Ong, leader of the
Scalable Unix Tools project http://www-unix.mcs.anl.gov/sut/index.shtml
(which uses mpd),
that the current mpd is a bit broken.
