Greetings, I'm wondering wether shared memory for SMP is supported by Debian mpich. In the manual, it says that if you put, e.g.: localhost:2 in /etc/mpich/machines.LINUX, and set some environment variable like MPI_NUMBER_LOCAL_MACHINES to the number of CPUs, then it will use shared memory instead of rsh for communication.
Is this supported in the Debian package? I can't seem to get it to work. Zeen, -- -Adam P.
