Hi,
You will probably want to wait a little while to use mpd until the next version of MPI-CH
due to be released in a few weeks. I was told by Emil Ong, leader of the
Scalable Unix Tools project http://www-unix.mcs.anl.gov/sut/index.shtml (which uses mpd),
that the current mpd is a bit broken.

Hello,
I've just noticed that there is an alternate driver for TCP/IP communication in mpich package, namely ch_p4mpd.
It sounds quite interesting, and I would like to know if it should be the default, etc.
I will probably make it buildable by doing
DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS=usempd debuild
in mpich package.
