Hi, You might check out
http://www.javagrande.org for wat appears to be active support of Java in HPC projects. There seem to be an awful lot of HPC projects that come into being, get lots of activity, and then fade away. The grad student in charge moves away or the researcher moves to another institution, and a project fades through a lack of attention. HPC projects are particularly vulnerable to this sort of neglect, because they are highly-specialized. Perhaps members of the "free" software community need to have an abandon-ware site to support neglected HPC projects? ..Scott Scott Robert Ladd Coyote Gulch Productions, http://www.coyotegulch.com No ads -- just very free (and somewhat unusual) code. > -----Original Message----- > From: Franklyn Pinedo [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Tuesday, July 02, 2002 10:41 > > Somebody know what happen with "The HPJava Project" in NPAC at Syracuse > University? > http://www.npac.syr.edu/projects/pcrc/HPJava/mpiJava.html > > The link for download and test the software don`t work for three > months ago. > > http://osprey6.npac.syr.edu:8282/mpiJava/register.html > > I e-mail and I have asked for the problem in Syracuse University > but without > answer. > > This project is dead? > > Maybe you know something. > > Thanks. > > Franklyn Pinedo > Laboratory of Computation of High Performance > University of Tachira > Venezuela. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
