Hi, I didn't mention the live CD I'd built in the announcement of the blend, as it was not tested and I didn't think it was ready for use. Nonetheless, it was found, and since the announcement it has seen on average 82 downloads a day!
I've also had positive feedback on the live CD via email, IRC and reddit. I think this is a clear sign that this is something users want and so I think this is definitely worth focusing some energy on.
