The bug reports #297201 and #385219 are related, and perhaps should be merged. The first is about having support for leaving unused space behind with partman-auto, and the second is the same for partman-auto-lvm.
In Debian Edu (debian-edu-install), we implemented a workaround by creating a partition debianedufreespace using a partman recipe, and then adding code in post-base-installer.d/10debian-edu-profile-udeb to remove it after partitioning (did not find any hooks just after partitioning, so ended up doing it after debootstrap was done). It would be great if partman supported this natively. Then we could get rid of some code in debian-edu-install. :) Happy hacking, -- Petter Reinholdtsen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
