Hi, current installer release it's Debian Squeeze Beta2 which is being developed for the upcoming release. The development of the Lenny installer is no longer supported.
I have checked Squeeze's d-i and it has the kernel module belkin_sa. So i guess the USB converter is supported in Squeeze.
