Hi! the problem has been solved once i have re installed debian 6.0.1a 64bit version. now the grub boot loader shows windows xp also, but the i386 version for 32bit version, did never show option for windows, since i have re installed the linux, i might not be able to provide the information for you!

Could you please provide the installer log from /var/log/installer? Also, on the installed system, could you run "os-prober" and look at what gets output in /var/log/messages?
