On squeeze with v 1.98+20100804-14+squeeze1 the following command doesn't write anything to the 1st sector of the partition. grub-install --force /dev/sda11 I tested it with grub-pc from testing (1.99-14) and it works fine. Are there any plans to fix grub-pc of squeeze in an upcoming squeeze update ? Or would it be better that I ask for a backport ?
