Please don't include the timeout set to 5 in syslinux.cfg on the USB stick. It is just a workaround for the freeze. The timeout doesn't wait for 5 seconds. It immediately starts the default selected option. So it is really not a good solution.
Feel free to lower the severity to normal. This bug is not important to me anymore with this workaround available.
