Hello, i recently installed debian wheezy on my quite old Macbook 3,1. Since it has been installed only 4 or 5 days there's no final conclusion, but as far as i can judge the situation everything looks fine. GPT with LVM is fine, grub2-efi works and even the nasty AHCI-SSD bug is gone (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=641396).
